Two stories of Samsung’s Corporate Citizenship work in Europe
Through August to December last year I directed and produced a documentary piece for Life Agency and their client Samsung Europe. It was a multi-location production filmed across Madrid and Manchester. Pre-production involved selecting candidates from story submissions and video auditions from all over Europe. The chosen candidates would help us to communicate the benefits and positive results shown by educational bodies such as schools and universities that have integrated with Samsung Digital Academies and Smart Classrooms.
In the film we talk to students and teachers to find out how they are using Samsung technologies in the classroom and how this is improving education now and in the future.
We filmed entirely using the same Samsung equipment available to student within the academies, namely the Samsung Galaxy camera, S5 mobile and Galaxy Tablet. This took a little bit of rigging but we got great results! It also allowed us to get the pupils at Plymouth Grove Primary to take part in the filming giving us lots of lovely candid and natural moments.
